On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, Anushka Sharma returned to Mumbai after spending several months in London with her family following the birth of her son, Akaay Kohli.

She made a stylish appearance at an event, wearing a blue cropped shirt paired with bright red trousers. During the event, Anushka joyfully spoke about her experience reconnecting with her fans and the media.

While discussing various topics, including her journey through motherhood and cherished college memories, one detail that particularly stood out was her insight into her comfort food preferences.

This revelation offered a glimpse into what helps her unwind and feel grounded, highlighting her appreciation for the familiar, nurturing flavors of home-cooked meals.

Anushka Sharma shared, “Growing up, anything my mother made was my comfort food. When I’m not feeling great, I always turn to dal chawal and sukhi aloo ki sabzi—all served on one plate. It’s my instant pick-me-up, and I absolutely love it,” as quoted by ANI.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are renowned for their dedication to a clean diet and disciplined lifestyle. In a recent interview, Anushka shared a lighthearted anecdote about their strict schedule.

She revealed that when their neighbors, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, invited them over for dinner, they had to navigate their early bedtime routine.

Katrina and Vicky invited us to their home, but we usually have dinner at 6 PM and go to bed by 9:30 PM. So I told Katrina that for them, we’d adjust and have dinner around 7-7:30 PM, but we’d need to leave soon after Anushka explained to Grazia India.

Anushka and Virat cook for Vamika-Akaay

Discussing her approach to food Anushka Sharma shared, We’ve talked about how important it is to recreate the dishes our mothers made for us.

If we don’t cook these recipes ourselves we won’t be able to pass them down to our kids. So I take turns cooking with my husband and we make a conscious effort to replicate the way our mothers used to prepare these meals.

I do admit to occasionally calling my mom for recipe tips but it’s crucial for us. It feels like we’re passing on something truly valuable to our children.

Anushka is particular about routine :

The actor shared insights into her children’s daily routine, saying “I’m very meticulous about maintaining a routine. As a family we travel frequently, and my kids often face various changes in their environment. By establishing a consistent routine I’m giving them a sense of stability and control.

Meal times are fixed—regardless of where we are we eat at the same time every day and follow a regular sleep schedule.
This consistency helps them manage and adapt more effectively to the different situations they encounter.

After a significant hiatus, Anushka Sharma made a public appearance on Wednesday. She returned to Mumbai from London and attended an event where she delighted in reconnecting with her fans and the media.

Following the event Anushka took to Instagram to share a series of stunning photos. In her post she radiated joy and enthusiasm captioning the pictures with “Happy go red-y!

Anushka’s next film :

Anushka Sharma will next appear in the upcoming sports biopic Chakda Xpress which is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.

The film will be available exclusively on OTT platforms.
The exact release date is yet to be announced.

Anushka Sharma, born on May 1, 1988, is a prominent Indian actress known for her work in Hindi cinema.

Over the years she has earned acclaim and recognition, including a Filmfare Award. In the 2010s Sharma was featured in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 and was also named in Forbes Asia’s 30 Under 30 list in 2018.

Originally from Ayodhya and raised in Bangalore Sharma began her career as a model after receiving her first assignment from fashion designer Wendell Rodricks in 2007. She later moved to Mumbai to pursue modeling full-time.

Her acting debut came with the 2008 hit romantic film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Her performance in this film established her as a prominent actress and she continued to gain fame with leading roles in Yash Raj Films’ Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) and Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) the latter earning her a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She achieved significant commercial success with Sultan (2016) and starred in Rajkumar Hirani’s hits PK (2014) and Sanju (2018). However her 2018 film Zero, which received mixed reviews led to a hiatus from acting.

Anushka Sharma co-founded the production company Clean Slate Filmz, under which she produced several films and web series, including NH10 and Paatal Lok (2020).

Besides her work in film she is a brand ambassador has created her own women’s clothing line called Nush and is active in supporting various charities and causes such as gender equality and animal rights. Sharma is married to cricketer Virat Kohli, and they have two children together.
