The BCCI men team selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar has announced the squads for the second round of Duleep Trophy 2024 starting September 12 in Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh). Those who have been called up in India squad for the first Test against Bangladesh will not feature in the second round including the likes of Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Axar Patel among others.
Pratham Singh (Railways) will replace Gill in India A squad while Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha CA) comes in place of KL Rahul. Andhra batter SK Rasheed has been named wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel replacement. Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will replace Kuldeep in the squad whereas Aaqib Khan (UPCA) will replace Akashdeep in the squad. Mayank Agarwal has been named captain of India A.
