A minute over a month ago, Democrats were coming to grips with the idea of that President Biden might not to be the best candidate to represent their party in the race against former President Donald Trump, with more of worry about what they thought could be a landslide loss up and down the ballot in November.

In her fiery seven-minute speech on Monday, she spoke to the middle class and got ringing applause as she called former President Donald Trump a “two-bit union buster” who would”Sell off the nation for a dollar if it meant padding his own wealth and greasing the palms of his Wall Street buddies.”
Biden gets emotional during send-off
Mr. Biden clean away tears as he took the stage on Monday after an introduction by his daughter, Ashley Biden.
The president hugged his daughter for nearly 30 seconds, strain at a tissue out of his pocket to dry his eyes, before repeatedly thanking the crowd throughout a lengthy standing hand clapping.
A month ago, Mr. Biden was set to accept the nomination on the convention’s final day. But Democrats who feared he could not beat Trump in November influenced him to end his campaign.
Mr. Biden instead gave a speech on the convention’s opening day before he rolled off to California for vacation. The timing of his remarks were pushed late into the night on the East Coast after earlier parts of the program hurried, which some saw as a treat disrespectfully to the president.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my career, but I gave my best to you,” Mr. Biden said.

Though Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, were officially nominated in a virtual roll call before the convention by itself,deputation reaffirmed their support for the duo in a vote set to a soundtrack of that saluted each U.S. state and territory.
Songs ranged from Prince’s “1999” to “California Love” by Tupac and “Good Luck, Babe” by Chappell Roan.
Lil Jon Electrifies the Arena with a Surprise Performance
When the camera shifted to Georgia’s delegation during the roll call, Atlanta’s own Lil Jon set the arena ablaze with energy. Screaming his signature “Yeahhhh” and remixing “Turn Down For What” to “Turn Out For What,” he transformed the convention space into a high-energy party, sending waves of excitement through the crowd.
Michelle Obama Takes a Swipe at Trump
In a stirring speech on Tuesday, former First Lady Michelle Obama hinted at a transformative shift in the political climate. While she gave a strong endorsement to Kamala Harris, Obama didn’t shy away from criticizing Donald Trump.
“For years, Donald Trump has tried to instill fear in people,” Obama said, highlighting Trump’s discomfort with successful Black individuals. “His narrow worldview made him uneasy about the presence of hardworking, accomplished Black professionals.” She cheekily added, “Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s eyeing might just be one of those ‘Black jobs’?” This was a nod to Trump’s June debate comment about immigrants taking “Black jobs.”
