Ananya Panday, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Kriti Sanon at IIFA Utsavam 2024.
IIFA Utsavam 2024 :
It was last night at Abu Dhabi when the 2024 IIFA Utsavam Awards dwelled under the glittering and glamourous personality that defines the Indian film industry. The event itself served as an opportunity through which stars could flaunt their personalities on the red carpet.
From my end, the attendees were given a treat by Aishwarya Rai, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Vicky Kaushal, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, AR Rahman, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Mani Ratnam, Chiranjeevi, Keerthy Suresh, and Rana Daggubati. Every star gave their own style a shot, making it one for the books. Here’s who impressed and what made their appearances at this glamour event memorable.
Ananya Panday :
She wore nothing less than a vision on the red carpet as she carried off that stunningly impressive ivory net saree like it was a second skin on her, having all eyeballs glued to her.
The saree was spectacularly done up with sequins and optimistic floral appliqué work that gave it a fresher look and vibrancy of youthfulness. She teamed the nine yards with a matching sleeveless blouse that held heavy embellishments, thus classing up her entire look.
Ananya wore loose, center-parted tresses that were falling just so around her shoulders. Makeup was minimal. This made for a soft-girl look that suited her perfectly. Statement earrings, delicate rings, and high-heeled pumps rounded off the appearance-an elegant and radiant one.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu :
Samantha Ruth Prabhu definitely shines bright at the awards with both her fashion choice and by clinching the Woman of the Year in Indian Cinema award. She looked stunning in an ombré perfection gown that changed from deep green to cobalt blue, with shimmering crystals intricately done in strings inside.
The spaghetti straps and the silhouette figure-hugging beneath make all her curves sensually prominent. It drenched some drama into the sultry side, as there was a deep neckline and slit at the back; however, floor length hem seemed purely to be an element of drama.
Her footwear consisted of sleek black stilettos. She accessorized only with rings and emerald tear-drop earrings. Make-up is minimum because nothing is quite as beautiful as little bit of natural beauty. With loose auburn locks styled on one side and blow-dried at the roots to add volumes, she was a looker.
Kriti Sanon :
This was the very bold black lace embroidery gown by Kriti Sanon that represented oomph factor. It had its raised collar-neck and boasted of a humongous cut-out at the bodice, making the statement without renouncing any elegance.
Full-length sleeves and ruffled pleats at the hem gave drama to the gown, which accentuated her perfect figure. The makeup was equally brilliant on Kriti, with very bold smokey eyes and black nails that played very well against her attire.
She completed the look with a pink-tinted lip and a chic braided high ponytail, which read her to be highly modern.
Rakul Preet Singh :
Yet another turn-on on the red carpet was Rakul Preet Singh, looking absolutely stunning in a strapless black gown, with the molded corseted bodice being full of black gemstones that curve perfectly around the frame and framed at the level of the floor-grazing hem from the flowing skirt adding movement and grace to overall style.
The slanted neck provided a sizzling glow that adds an allure to enhance her elegance even more. Statement dangling earrings swung with every stride, and messy topknot gave off that laid-back, chic look.
She chooses glam minimalist makeup that accords to her face contour, and the pumps and rings perfectly match the look.
Vicky Kaushal :
He also made it to the best dressed list as he showed up in a streamlined outfit in sleek black suit. The combination of the double-breasted blazer with the straight-leg pant creates it an ideal streamlined outfit.
A matching button-down shirt underneath added more polished-finish touches to his outfit. Completing the outfit was the traditional black dress shoe and a neat trim hair do with a well-groomed beard.A stylish watch completed the whole ensemble, making him dashing enough for the entire night.
Rana Daggubati :
His basic style consisted of a sleek notch lapel blazer and tapered pants designed to give a glimpse of his tall frame. Adding a modern twist to this classic outfit was the simple black crew neck T-shirt worn underneath.
A tinted pair of sunglasses and a rose-shaped pocket square completed his look, adding to the touch of sophistication of this young fashion icon.
His looks were finalized with a cool watch, upstyled bearded smoothed back hair giving an aura of poise and arrogance.
Aishwarya Rai :
Aishwarya Rai-a favorite once again looked stunning in bold gold and silver lehenga.
The overall look was superb with intricate work detailing it up. This was beautiful catching the lights when she made her moves.
The flared skirt might have billowed around her hips, looking specially beautiful flowing with poise, but she added a matching dupatta for a touch of regality to her look.
Traditional accessorising was Aishwarya’s cue, of course-the rather dramatic earrings and that very, very stunning maang tikka framing her face. She was flawless in makeup-mostly, that is, with a luminescent glow and just defined features that made one of the evening’s brightest stars.
Keerthy Suresh brought playful charm to the red carpet in a soft pastel pink gown. Her gown featured tiered ruffles and dim delicate lace for an ethereal silhouette: whimsical yet oh-so-classy.
The gentle color palette and sweetness really suited the young heroine’s looks. Keerthy Suresh sported bare minimum accessories so that the gown gets the best importance.
With such gentle waves cascading over her shoulders and fresh-faced makeup sitting on the natural beauty, she gave out a vibrant energy which, to be honest, was impossible to miss.
Chiranjeevi :
Navy blue retro-cut suit saw Chiranjeevi being a memorable showpiece with the super-fit single-breasted blazer superbly contrasted with perfectly-well fitted trousers.
He completed the signature style of sophistication by teaming it with stiff white shirt and leather shoes for that sleek look. Confident posture along with a warm smile majestically amplified his presence on the red carpet – the true star of the film fraternity.
AR Rahman :
Well, there is another genius for music, AR Rahman indeed, who created a fashion buzz for the 61st Idea Filmfare Awards night, doing perfectly the fusion look. The traditional feel of his outfit was well-balanced with the modern one which makes him always fit perfectly on any occasion.
There is exquisite embroidery on the kurta, which makes it elegant, but the contemporary fit of the trousers kept him fresh and stylish. He completed his getup in loafers and underplayed accessories only reflected the underplayed yet chic way he has always made space for on the red carpet.
Iconic couple, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi. They looked like they hailed from a never-ending era of romance at the red carpet. The dignified man was Javed sporting a classic black suit just, while what stole the show was a style diva by the name of Shabana Azmi in a gorgeous deep maroon gown full of beautiful embroidery.
The high neck and flowing silhouette bore the stamp of grace and sophistication on the lady. Together, they were a style, a statement of individuality, as well as the bond they forged over the years of collaboration and love in the film industry.
