JMI Extends Deadline for Admission in CDOE. The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has extended the admission deadline for the 2024-25 academic session to September 7. Applicants will be contacted for document verification between September 17 and 27. so it’s better to monitor your email for updates. Before submitting the online admission application form, please review the prospectus thoroughly and ensure you meet the eligibility requirements.
For programs that require entrance exams, note that the B.Ed. entrance test notification will be announced later. The MBA entrance test has been rescheduled to September 22 and it will be held on the JMI campus. MBA applicants can download their hall tickets from the examination portal one week before the test date.
It’s also important to know that the MBA, MAHRM, MA Geography, MA Islamic Studies, BCIBF and PGDGI programs are currently available only in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.
The CDOE at JMI offers a range of programs, including:
- Postgraduate Programs: M.A. in Education, English, Geography, Hindi, History, HRM, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Urdu and M.Com.
- Undergraduate Programs: B.A. (General), BBA, B.Com and BCIBF.
- PG Diploma, Diploma, and Certificate Programs: PGDGC, PGDGI, DECCE, CCHNT and CIT.
All these programs are based on merit from qualifying exams.

JMI & University Of Applied Sciences Erfurt, Germany, Conclude Academic Exchange
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) recently concluded an academic exchange program with the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt – Faculty of Business – Logistics, – Transportation (FHE), Germany. The program, titled “A German-Indian Perspective on HRM Megatrends and Diversity Awareness,” aimed to promote cross-cultural understanding and academic collaboration.
Learning experience and cultural exploration
Under the guidance of Dr. Sarika Tomar and Dr. Shaad Habeeb, ten students from JMI’s M.A. Human Resource Management program participated in the program from May 20th to 29th, 2024. The program included lectures on various topics such as Human Resource Management, Retail Marketing, Teambuilding, Leadership in Sports Organisations and Economic Policy delivered by esteemed professors including Dr. Susanne Schrabback, Prof. Dr. Anette Hoxtell and Prof. Dr. Bernd Schwandt.
In addition to classroom activities, the exchange program involved visits to historic cities like Erfurt, Leipzig, Weimar and Eisenach, providing students with a firsthand experience of Germany rich cultural heritage.
They also had the opportunity to engage with corporate entities like VNG Leipzig and MDC Power in Kölleda, gaining valuable insights into operational and managerial practices. Students were able to effectively integrate their learning experiences with the support of daily reflective sessions. After ten German students visited JMI in November 2023 under the guidance of Professor Sabine Brunner, this exchange program has proven to be a success and demonstrates JMI’s commitment to fostering global partnerships. It also strengthens the relationship between the two universities.

To Get into JMI for BA without CUET
As per the CUET UG website, students seeking admission to BA at Jamia Millia must appear for and qualify CUET exam. since some universities are also considering other components. while giving admission to CUET-UG based courses, it could be a possibility of getting into JMI without CUET. But, this is a being said there is no official information on whether the university will only consider CUET UG scores or other components as well for admission. it is a tough to give the right answer.
