After a year-long hiatus to campaign for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the 2009 general elections, he made a comeback with Brindavanam in 2010. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, the film was a major hit and one of the highest-grossing films of the year.
Jr. NTR’s next project with Meher Ramesh, Shakti (2011), despite featuring a strong cast, did not perform well at the box office.
