Actor Nagarjuna convention centre – N-Convention – was razed by the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRA) on Saturday morning, August 24. He stated, “I am deeply troubled by the unlawful demolition of N Convention, which is happening despite existing court orders and ongoing legal disputes.” He added that he felt compelled to make this statement to safeguard his reputation and clarify that he has not breached any laws.

He also added that the agreement centre is on ‘patta land’ with none of it encroached on the tank near it. He further noted, “Regarding the building erected on private property, there is an existing stay order that prevents any prior illegal demolition notices. Today’s demolition clearly occurred based on incorrect information.

Nagarjuna also claimed that ‘no notice was issued’ earlier to the demolition. “As a well behaved citizen, if the Court before which the matter is pending, had decided against me, I would have carried out to the demolition of myself,” he wrote.
