The success of Telugu films such as RRR, Kalki 2898 AD, and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire in the United States can be attributed to the increasing Telugu-speaking population. This trend is expected to continue with the release of Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, which has already set new records compared to his previous films. The movie is scheduled for a global release on August 29, generating significant buzz and anticipation among audiences.

With just one day to go before its premiere, the film has already sold tickets worth $303,572 across 415 locations with nearly 17,000 tickets sold. This marks the widest release ever for a Nani-led film.

Given the substantial positive buzz surrounding the movie, collections are anticipated to reach $600,000 by the end of its initial run. The strong early sales and extensive coverage have set high expectations for its performance.

S J Suryah gets top billing for his baddy role?

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram

According to reliable sources, Tamil director-turned-actor S.J. Suryah is reportedly reaping substantial financial rewards from his role as the antagonist in the upcoming Telugu film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, starring alongside the popular Nani.

It is said that Suryah secured a hefty payment of Rs 10 crore for his part in the film. The action-packed movie is produced by DVV Danayya, who is known for his work on RRR. Suryah is said to have insisted on a high salary, confidently requesting a substantial fee given that the film is backed by a wealthy producer. Sources reveal that Suryah instructed his managers not to negotiate, believing that the producer’s deep pockets would accommodate his demands.

Although Danayya was reportedly taken aback by this bold request, he decided to hire Suryah due to his proven talent and ability to bring the character to life, ensuring a strong performance that would captivate the audience.

Despite this, S.J. Suryah has outpaced several Bollywood stars such as Bobby Deol (for Hari Hara Veera Mallu), Nawazuddin Siddique (for Saindhav), and Arbaaz Khan (for Shivam Bhaje). According to sources, Suryah’s impressive performances in Maanaadu and Mark Antony have significantly boosted his popularity, leading to a surge of offers from different film industries. However, he remains selective in choosing his projects.

S.J. Suryah initially gained recognition as a director in Tollywood, working with stars like Pawan Kalyan in Khushi and Puli, and Mahesh Babu in Nani. He also portrayed a formidable serial killer opposite Mahesh Babu in Spyder. However, his acting career has become increasingly demanding, causing him to shift his focus away from directing.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram: Fans deeply upset with the PVR-INOX issue

The bookings for the movie began promisingly in Hyderabad, but an unforeseen issue arose. Last night, all shows at PVR-INOX locations in Hyderabad were abruptly canceled for unknown reasons. This unexpected development surprised fans, who have since sought an explanation from the production house.

As soon as the issue emerged, co-producer Kalyan Dasari assured fans that the team was aware of the situation and emphasized there was no need for concern. Currently, advances have not yet begun in national chains, raising worries among fans as the release date approaches.

Additionally, the problem appears to extend beyond Hyderabad, with bookings also not starting in other regions of the Telugu states. Fans are increasingly anxious about the lack of progress as the film’s release nears.

Reports indicate that Saripodhaa Sanivaaram earned approximately Rs. 50 lakhs in gross revenue from the PVR-INOX chain in Hyderabad before the shows were unexpectedly removed. Despite these release issues, Nani, Vivek Athreya, and the entire team remain optimistic about the film’s success.

Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is touted as the most expensive project of Nani’s career, and its performance will be closely watched to see if it surpasses the box office collections of his biggest hit, Dasara. The team is hopeful that the film will still achieve significant success despite the current challenges.
