Nivin Pauly Addresses Sexual Misconduct Allegations at Kerala Press Conference on Tuesday Night

Nivin Pauly : Malayalam actor convened an urgent press conference on Tuesday night to address recent allegations of rape against him. During the briefing Pauly stated that he is unfamiliar with the woman making the accusations and firmly denied any wrongdoing. He expressed his determination to contest the allegations vigorously through legal channels, asserting that he is confident in his innocence.

I only learned about the news recently Pauly said. I do not know this woman and have never encountered her. These accusations are completely unfounded. This situation is distressing particularly as I have a family. I felt it was necessary to hold this press conference at this late hour to unequivocally state that I am innocent.

An FIR has been filed, and I am prepared to address this matter through the legal system. I am committed to going to great lengths to prove my innocence though I understand this process may take time” Pauly added according to ANI.
The Kerala film industry was stunned by recent allegations against Nivin Pauly, who has been accused of rape. According to reports a case has been filed against Pauly for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman under the guise of offering her a film role. Malayalam regional channel Reporter Live reports that the complainant has identified six individuals who purportedly assaulted her with promises of acting opportunities. The alleged incident took place in Dubai last November.
Nivin Pauly is named as the sixth accused in the complaint while Malayalam producer AK Sunil is listed as the second accused. The Oonnukal police have registered the case and will transfer it to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) established by the government to investigate these new allegations. The SIT will handle the investigation moving forward.
The Bangalore Days actor swiftly issued a statement dismissing the allegations as baseless.
These accusations come amid the ongoing MeToo movement in the Kerala film industry.

Kochi Shortly after a case was filed against Malayalam filmstar Nivin Pauly (40) in Ernakulam district based on a woman’s complaint the actor denied the allegations and vowed to go to any length to contest the charges.
It will take time for the truth to come out and I am committed to cooperating fully throughout the process Nivin Pauly stated. Around 45 days ago the police informed me of a complaint against me.

I told them that I had never seen or met the woman who filed the complaint. As a result the police closed the case at that time. I remain steadfast in my commitment to clear my name and will continue to work with authorities to ensure that the facts are properly established.
There might be a conspiracy behind these allegations, and others could be involved in making false claims against me Nivin Pauly said. My family is fully supportive I called my mother and she reassured me not to worry. I am determined to fight this case not just for myself but for everyone who suffers due to such unfounded accusations.

Aside from one producer, whom I met in Dubai I do not know the other individuals named in the case The actor emphasized his commitment to clearing his name and addressing the issue of false allegations.

The actor also addressed the issue on the social media platform X stating I have encountered a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please understand that these claims are entirely unfounded. I am committed to going to any length to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary actions to expose those responsible. Thank you for your concern The matter will be handled through legal channels.
According to sources the woman decided to file a new complaint against Mr. Pauly after the release of the Hema Committee report last month. She became aware of the multiple complaints being made and chose to come forward with her own. The case has been registered by the Oonukal police in Ernakulam district.

It will now be handed over to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) established by the Kerala government. This SIT has been created to investigate all cases of sexual exploitation of women within the Malayalam film industry.
Mr. Pauly, a two-time Kerala Film Award winner, initially worked as a software engineer before transitioning to the film industry in 2010. Since making that shift he has appeared in more than 50 films. Many of these films have been successful at the box office establishing him as a prominent figure in Malayalam cinema.
In 2016 Mr. Pauly ventured into film production with “Action Hero Biju,” released under his banner Mr. Pauly Jr. Pictures. The film proved to be a major success performing exceptionally well at the box office.

Recently the Malayalam film industry has been embroiled in controversy following the delayed release of the Hema Committee report last month. The report uncovered widespread sexual exploitation of women within the industry sparking significant unrest.

As a result the Kerala Police have taken action by registering FIRs against 11 individuals including nine from the film industry. These FIRs have been filed based on complaints made by various actresses highlighting serious concerns about misconduct in the Malayalam film world. The situation continues to develop as investigations proceed and further revelations emerge.

Among those under scrutiny are actor-turned-CPI-M legislator Mukesh Madhavan, Siddique, Jayasurya, Edavela Babu, Maniyanpilla Raju, directors Ranjith and V.K. Prakash, and production executives Vichu and Noble.
Additionally actor Baburaj and director Tulasidas have also been named in the context of these allegations though no FIRs have been filed against them as of now.

Nivin Pauly (born 11 October 1984) is an Indian actor and producer primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema.
He has won two Kerala State Film Awards , three Filmfare Awards South, two Kerala Film Critics Association Awards and six SIIMA Awards.

Nivin first gained attention with his role in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s directorial debut, Malarvaadi Arts Club (2009). His breakthrough came with the romantic film Thattathin Marayathu (2012) which significantly boosted his career.
