Rishi Kapoor passed away in 2020 two years before his second granddaughter Raha Kapoor, was born. Raha is the daughter of his son Ranbir Kapoor and actress Alia Bhatt.
Reflecting on the special occasion she expressed a heartfelt wish that Rishi were still here to celebrate with his two granddaughters. Riddhima’s 13-year-old daughter Samara and her brother Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s one-year-old daughter Raha Kapoor, were the focus of her sentiments.

On Wednesday Riddhima Kapoor took to her Instagram Stories to share a nostalgic photo of her father’s birthday celebration. In the picture Rishi Kapoor dressed stylishly in a black T-shirt is perched at the edge of the dining table ready to cut a homemade birthday cake.
The background is adorned with colorful balloons and ‘Happy Birthday’ signs adding to the festive atmosphere. Seated on Rishi’s lap is Samara, Riddhima’s 13-year-old daughter, eagerly anticipating a slice of the birthday cake.

He shared a picture of himself, Rishi and veteran actor Jeetendra, all dressed in black.

About Raha Kapoor
Raha Kapoor was born in November 2022, more than two years after her paternal grandfather Rishi Kapoor, passed away in Mumbai in April 2020. Both Riddhima Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have noted the resemblance between Raha and Rishi.
During an appearance on Koffee with Karan Season 8 last year Alia Bhatt mentioned to host Karan Johar that Raha closely resembles “Ranbir’s dad,” referring to Rishi Kapoor.
