Shah Rukh Khan and Vicky Kaushal danced on Samantha Ruth Prabhu's Oo Antava.
That song was one of the blockbusters from Pushpa: The Rise, where it had seen Samantha in the spot light, but to see those two actors dance to it left her in paroxysms of laughter.
The co-hosts of the event-the duo-held a discussion on Pushpa, after which they brought it to life through their performance filled with energy. Their lively dance became a showstopper and quickly turned viral on social media, and Samantha caught wind of it.
Samantha couldn’t keep it inside and shared a reel of SRK and Vicky’s performance on Instagram Stories. While writing her post, she mentioned, “I never imagined this happening in a million years,” alongside crying and laughing emojis. So far, neither Shah Rukh nor Vicky has responded to her enthusiastic shoutout.
Other than this scintillating performance in “Oo Antava,” SRK seized the moment at the awards night to reach out to the director of Pushpa, Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He expressed interest in playing a character in a movie similar to Pushpa.
That would remind the audiences why SRK is one of the most dynamic lead stars in the field. Fans are raving over speculations on what it would look like to watch such a dynamic character in SRK.
The night was a whirlwind of excitement with Shah Rukh and Vicky setting the stage on fire, to say the least, with their infectious energy.
They performed to several classic numbers including “Mere Mehmoob Mere Sanam,” originally a number in the film Duplicate but later revisited in Bad Newz, in it, their chemistry shone through as they danced weighing in between talent and charisma.
Other than this scintillating performance, Shah Rukh also memorized the hookstep of ‘Tauba Tauba’ an item number by Vicky from this film. The chemistry of both on stage was well perceived and they drew out entertainment for the audience in a very effortless manner.
Karan Johar, one of the most oft-joined collaborators in the business, grooved with the combo. He added his own moves and grooved to the song “Jhoome Jo Pathaan.” The three ensured that the night was peppy and full of fun, an incident in itself.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu too was a part of the IIFA 2024 celebrations. She bagged the Woman of the Year in Indian Cinema award at the IIFA Utsavam.
Dressed elegantly in a stunning green gown, she graciously accepted the accolade, taking moment by moment to express her heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported her journey in the industry. Recognition at such a prestigious show definitely further cements her position as a leading lady in Indian cinema.
Samantha has been quite busy on the awards night. In addition to the awards, she has also been talking up the new upcoming series, Citadel: Honey Bunny. She was recently seen in London with a premiere and meet-and-greets, where Priyanka Chopra joined her; Priyanka Chopra would be playing a part in the original series.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is an Indian adaptation of Citadel, which was globally released, with Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden being a part of its original form. The spymasterful spy thriller from the talented duo Raj and DK sets in motion a storyline against the silks and cultures of the 1990s.
The ensemble cast, featuring Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher, the anticipation for this is raw and is palpable as acclaimed actors and directors join in for its uniting forces.
The Indian film industry, replete with its zest and bubbling energy, also merits a mention, not just to highlight the magnificent talent of SRK, Vicky, and Samantha, which was glorified by the IIFA 2024 ceremony.
Such moments remind everyone of the pleasure and excitement associated with cinema as well as the bond developed among its stars. With engaging performances, heartfelt acknowledgments, and promise of new projects in the pipeline, the night would certainly witness the spirit of Indian cinema.
The occasion, apart from distinguished ability, brought fraternity and bonhomie-the lifeblood of the relationships between Bollywood’s biggest stars.
The applause heard, the accolades awarded, filled up the night with a display that would be remembered by the fans and the industry itself for many years to come.
