The SBI PO Notification 2024 by the State Bank of India (SBI) will soon be out. Candidates eagerly waiting for the release of the notification can check the official web portal careers upon updating from the concerned department. So the authentic date is yet to come forth.
The official notification would contain an important date of starting of and last date for the applications, eligibility criteria set number of vacancies; the selection process and guidelines for applications.
The notice was issued on September 6, 2023. while registration began the following day. This led to the recruitment of 2,000 PO positions. In 2022 the notice came out on 21 September and registration began on September 22, which ended with hiring 1,673 PO.
SBI PO Recruitment Application Form 2024
SBI PO application form 2024 will be released online. The application process comprises several stages such as registration, uploading the scanned photograph and signature filling the detailed application form uploading the left thumb impression and handwritten declaration and fee payment. The application fee can be paid both online and is INR 750 for General/ EWS/ OBC. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment. The steps to fill the application form are explained below:
- Step 1: Firstly visit the careers page of SBI- sbi.co.in
- Step 2: Go to the ‘SBI PO 2024 Advertisement’
- Step 3: From the drop-down select tge ‘SBI PO Apply’ link
- Step 4: Register for the exam by clicking the ‘New Registration’ link
- Step 5: Enter the required details to register for the exam
- Step 6: Candidates need to upload their recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the prescribed format
- Step 7: Fill in basic details, personal details, educational qualifications and work experience
- Step 8: Candidates need to upload the SBI PO handwritten declaration and left thumb impression
- Step 9: Before final submission preview the SBI PO application form and make the necessary changes if any
- Step 10: Pay the required application form
- Step 11: Submit the SBI PO application form and take its printout for future reference
SBI Clerk Eligibility 2024
Candidates need to fulfil the following SBI PO eligibility criteria:
- SBI PO age limit of candidates should be between 21 and 30 years
- Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam. Final year graduation candidates can apply for the exam provisionally. When called for the interview they need to show the degree pass certificate
- There is also capping in the number of attempts. The number of chances for the General category is four and OBC is Seven. There is no limit to the number of attempts for SC and ST candidates
SBI PO Selection Process 2024
The selection process of SBI PO comprises the following stages:
- Phase-I Preliminary exam:The category-wise merit list for the mains exam is drawn based on the aggregate marks scored in the preliminary exam. Candidates, 10 times the number of vacancies are selected for the mains exam.
- Phase-II Mains Exam:The mains exam is a combination of objective-type tests and descriptive-type tests. The merit list of the mains exam is based on the aggregate marks. Candidates up to three times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for Interview (Group Exercises & Interview).
- Phase-III:Phase-III comprises Psychometric test Interview (50 marks) & Group Exercises (20 marks). Candidates are required to score the minimum qualifying marks in Phase-III to be conducted for final selection.
- Final Selection:The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not added to prepare the final merit list. According to SBI PO selection process only the marks obtained in the mains exam are added to the marks obtained in Interview or Group Exercise & Interview for the final merit list. Marks secured by candidates in the mains exam are converted to 75 out of 250 marks. While the marks of Group Exercise & Interview are converted to 25 out of 50 marks. The final merit list is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Phase-II and Phase-III.
SBI PO Recruitment Admit Card
The admit card of SBI PO is released separately for pre-exam training, preliminary exam, mains exam and Interview or Group Exercises & Interview. Candidates can access their SBI PO admit card online by logging with registration number or roll number and date of birth or password. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. The steps to download the admit card are given below:
- Visit the career page of SBI
- Go to the ‘current opening’ section from the ‘join SBI’ tab
- Click the link ‘Recruitment of Probationary Officers in SBI’
- From the drop-down click, the admit card link of SBI PO
- Enter registration number or roll number and date of birth or password in the SBI login page
- SBI PO admit card appears on the screen
- Download the admit card and take its printout

SBI PO Prelims Cut off 2024

SBI PO Cut off: Know Its Various Stages: There are several stages of the announcement of the cut off of SBI PO. The details about those stages are given below:
SBI PO Prelims Cut off: The marks for SBI PO Prelims Cut off are calculated out of 100 marks. The category-wise merit list to shortlist candidates for the mains exam is prepared on the basis of the SBI PO preliminary cut-off marks. On the basis of the SBI PO preliminary cut off, ten times over the number of vacancies have been shortlisted for the mains exam.
SBI PO Mains Cut off: Candidates clearing the preliminary exam are eligible to appear for the mains examination. SBI PO Cut off is declared over 250 marks. Candidates whose marks are above or equal to the cut-off marks three times the category-wise vacancies appearing for the Interview, psychometric assessment and group discussion are short-listed. The descriptive test for the candidates who have to clear at every stage of the objective test alone is assessed.
SBI PO Interview Cut off: Phase III is taken with those candidates who have cleared the mains exam. Cut off of SBI PO for interview is assessed on 50 marks. The minimum qualifying marks for Phase III of previous years are given below.
SBI PO Final Cut off: SBI PO Final Cut Off is based on the mains exam and Interview. It is the sum of marks obtained by the last ranked candidates. Marks of SBI PO cut off for the final selection are calculated out of 100. The scores of the candidates in the mains examination are converted to 75 out of 250 marks. Marks of Interview are converted to 25 marks out of 50 marks.

The scorecard of SBI PO scorecard is released along with the result. To download the scorecard, candidates need to login with registration or roll number date of birth and verification code. The scorecard displays the section-wise and overall scores obtained by candidates in the exam.
